Cheesy Baked Potato Soup
This is one of my favorite potato soup recipes. I always make it on a cold dreary day to warm up the house and the family. Everyone who has tried my cheesy baked potato soup has asked me for the recipe; therefore, I thought I would share it with you.
To begin you need the following ingredients/utencils:
3 medium potatoes
1 jar cheddar cheese
medium saucepan
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
12 toothpicks
First you bake the three medium potatoes. I like to bake mine in the microwave because it is easiest and quickest for me. You poke holes in the potatoes and stick four toothpicks in the bottom of them using the toothpicks as a stand for the potatoes. You then cook them for ten minutes. Once the potatoes are done baking in the microwave let them cool for approximately ten minutes. After the potatoes have cooled peel them and cuve them to the desired size. Next you want to put the cubed potatoes, cheddar cheese and the rest of your ingredients into the medium saucepan and mix well. You then take your saucepan with the soup mixture to the stove and heat it on medium tempeerature until boiling stirring continuously. Once the mixture has began to boil turn the heat to low and let simmer approximately ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally remove from heat, serve and enjoy.
